The hides for Tanner Bates Notebooks are processed  in a family run tannery in Florence where they still use organic tree barks and plant extracts to transform animal skin to leather. Its a time honoured tradition that produces a supple, sensuous  leather. Like all good quality leather this binding will become more beautiful with time and use.
